After picking up his gong a shell shocked Steven said “I was pretty nervous before hand and definitely very shocked to hear my name. I looked at everyone else and thought there was a woman nominated who had been volunteering since the year I was born, so I was very surprised and against such strong people it’s a real honour. Every course I have been on I have been the only man, a lot of my friends are very jealous, which is quite daunting but it’s just a great honour.” |
